The Summer 2017 Trend Series
While we like timeless and statement pieces to complete our wardrobe, we also like to keep up with the latest looks hot off the catwalk. Our two-part blog post series on Summer 2017 trends takes inspo from WhoWhatWear and the recent Fashion Weeks. So what have we got to look forward to over the next few months?
Rainbow Brights
Summer 2017 was not designed for wallflowers. This season is all about bright and beautiful colours. There are no specific shades on trend – simply the brighter, the better! We suggest paring the look back with bold, monochrome accessories or stepping things up a notch with some more bright shades – take your pick from our statement bangles that come in every colour of the rainbow!
Head to Toe Florals
We told you this season is not for the faint-hearted! You can’t go wrong with florals and the head to toe floral look is certainly one that translates beautifully from summer in the city to cocktails by the beach. A leather backpack in tan will keep the look stylish and avoid aesthetic overkill.
Big Sleeves…
…the bigger, the better. This is an easy look to pull off and flattering to every body shape. Keep the look beautiful and fierce from top to bottom with a pair of handmade gladiator sandals.
Mix and Match
Ok, this one might seem a little effortless but mix and match is a look that works surprisingly well for the summer months. Think printed kaftan, polka dot bikini and leather sandals with gold embellishment. If you’re a little apprehensive, mix up prints with complementing colours for a safe twist on the trend.
